Who is Rowena King?
Rowena, born Roweena Josephine King, is a stage, film and television actress from London.
The daughter of a mechanic, Rowena spent her childhood with her parents in Hertfordshire before attending formal dramatic studies at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and at the London Drama School, from where she transitioned to ensemble work with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Rowena first appeared in the 1991 drama 'London Kills Me' before having several recurring roles in many UK television series such as 'Framed', and 'To Play the King'.
What roles would she be known for?
Rowena starred as Amelie in the 1993 movie-adaption of 'Wide Sargasso Sea' before earning guest roles in hit shows 'Grey's Anatomy,' and 'Death in Paradise'.
One of her first major film roles was in the 2000 action thriller film 'Proof of Life' beside Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan.
In 2007, she was cast as Angelica in 'The Bucket List' alongside Hollywood icons Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.
The actress has also made appearances in international shows, 'Criminal Minds' and 'NCIS: Los Angeles' before returning to UK television this year in thriller Trauma.
