IF you live in the West Country and have been trying to avoid Valentine's Day today - there was literally no escape.
Virgin Atlantic decided to celebrate all things lovey-dovey by flying a plane in the shape of a love heart – a 200 mile-wide love heart.
Aviation lovers were even able to follow the path being made on a website called Flightradar 24 by searching for flight number VS850P.
The heart shaped flight – on board the Honkytonk Woman Airbus A330 - flew over the South West coast of England.
The airline was only able to make the special flight after getting permission from the National Air Traffic Services.
Captain JJ Burrows, Director Aircraft Operations for Virgin Atlantic said: “We had a training flight planned for February 14, and when we realised it was Valentine’s Day we decided to have a little fun."
He continued: “Our special heart-shaped flight took off from London Gatwick, travelling across the south of England and over the Cornish coast to form a heart shape at around 30,000ft.
“We hope people tracked the flight’s progress via apps such as Flightradar – looking for flight VS850P.”
Virgin are running a one-day sale in order to share the love this Valentine’s Day on its premium economy seats, with savings of up to £279 per person.
Premium Economy seats give extra perks, like a dedicated bag drop, a 38-inch seat pitch, china crockery when you eat your meals, and a glass of champagne when you arrive on board.
Which sounds like romance to us.
Virgin Holidays also announced yesterday that they're opening a genius new arrivals land for their customers in Dubai.
With many flights arriving early in the morning, guests can now check-in before their hotel room is ready at the Virgin Holidays v-hub in the Aquaventure waterpark at Atlantis The Palm.
Guests can check in and leave their bags to be taken to the room, then have a shower and a coffee or play on a video game.
After checking in to the hub, guests can grab their swimmers and jump on a buggy to Aquaventure water park.
They will then be notified once their room is ready.
