AMERICAN figure skaters sealed their Olympic routine with a romantic kiss on Valentine's Day.
Married couple Chris Knierim and Alexa Scimeca Knierim took to the ice on Wednesday hoping to qualify for the free skate on Thursday.
The loved-up pair started skating together in 2012 and married four years later.
And their routine in Pyeongchang was their first time competing in the Olympics.
Chris and Alexa melted the hearts of those watching in the rink after they completed their routine with an embrace.
Speaking after their event, Chris told the BBC: "It's Valentine's Day and I think we showed how much we love each other and love to skate with each other during the programme."
The duo finished 14th which qualified them for the event on Thursday.
It is a remarkable story for Alexa who battled with a life-threatening issue called gastrointestinal illness.

She added: "It makes this journey so much different and possibly more special than anyone who hasn't experienced the super lows of life,
"We're just feeding off each other and reminding each other how lucky we are to be here. It's keeping us humble and happy."
