THIS is the chilling moment machete-wielding thugs burst into a dentist's home and threatened his children before running off with £200,000 worth of designer goods.
Dr Kailesh Solanki and his wife, Michelle, were left traumatised following the terrifying six minute raid carried out by balaclava-clad thieves.
Haunting CCTV images shows the gang brandishing a machete and hammer as they skulk in the garden of the £1.6million home in Bowdon, Cheshire.
The thugs then smashed their way through a patio window and threatened to murder the couple's son, aged ten months, and 21-month-old daughter as they slept upstairs.
The shaken family told the Daily Mail one of the robbers screamed at them: "If you don't open your safe I'll go upstairs and kill your kids."
Michelle's diamond wedding and engagement rings were stolen, along with thousand of pounds of designer watches, handbags and sunglasses.
Dr Solanki told the newspaper: "They smashed through the patio windows and ran towards me. One had a machete, the other had a hammer and they were both dressed in black with balaclavas and gloves.
"I just froze. They took jewellery and a watch off me."
The couple were targeted on Bank Holiday Monday, just before 10pm.
Michelle told how she feared for her young children, ten-month-old Dylan and 21-month-old Jasmine.
She said: "I just thought, 'this is it'. That feeling will stay with me for life. When one of them said he’d kill the kids I said to him, 'they are just babies'."
The parents said they had seen two men on their CCTV system the Thursday before the robbery, who ran off after being spooked by a security light.
Dr Solanki, who runs Kissdental and has clinics all over the Manchester area, was able to quickly call 999 after hearing the men break in.
But within moments he was ordered to open the family safe and hand over the contents.
The dentist, who said he has worked hard to climb up to the financial position he is in, admitted he is now thinking of selling his expensive cars and accessories as he may be putting his family at risk.
Manchester Police are looking into the robbery.
