Las Vegas hotel guests told ‘stay in your rooms’ as armed cops respond to reports of gunshot

Over a dozen cop cars have arrived at the Westin Hotel in Sin City amid reports of shot being fired

ARMED police have swooped on a Las Vegas hotel after reports of gun shots being fired.

Terrified guests were reportedly told to stay in their rooms at the Westin Hotel in the US city while over a dozen cop cars arrived on the scene at around 3am local time this morning.

Journalist Chris Garry, of Channel Seven Australia, tweeted: "Cops yelling out... Gunshots?!!!! Gunshots!!!?

“Have you heard them. Scene in Las Vegas right now.

"More than 15 cop cars at The Westin all rushing inside shotguns ready.

"Reports of gunshots."

According to early reports, officers were unable to find a suspect or any victims.

KTNV anchor Lesley Marin said "Police have told us there is no sign of a shooter or victim, but we're looking into this."
